Black Nokia 5200 and 5300 XpressMusic to arrive?

Justamp has unveiled images of Nokia 5200/5300 XpressMusic in a new color - unlike the original editions, these two are clad in black plastic. No word on the European release date as yet, however if this is a real deal, then Nokia might launched them on August 29, supposedly along with some additions to the N-series: 8-Gb N95, N81, N82 and others.

As you remember, Nokia 5200 and 5300 XpressMusic were inaugurated last fall - these are music-drive slider-type phones, originally offered in white casings with colour-accentuated insets.

Nokia to hold a major announcement on August 29 in London

There has been much speculation on Nokia's next announcement that is supposedly taking place on August 29. Now it is official, as the company has already sent invitations to this event, which is set to be held in London at the Ministry of Sound nightclub. However, there is no word on announcements coming on August 29 - the company only offers members of press to attend this launch event, witness Nokia's latest and greatest solutions and "the next stage of the evolution of the internet and mobility".

But the rumor has it that on August 29 we will see a bunch of new smartphones - N95 8Gb edition, N81 and N82, Nokia 5200/5300 XpressMusic feature phones in black and the company's very own new online service that will allow to buy and upload music content. Supposedly, Nokia's music library will feature over a million tracks. Again, no official statement is available as of today - undoubtedly they will be raining down on August 29.

FCC Approves Nokia’s Mystery Phone

The almighty FCC recently approved a mystry phone from Nokia. Nokia requested FCC to keep it confedential but from the FCC label it seems to be a Nokia 661X series device.

This Phone will be a SM 850/900/1800/1900MHz quad-band phone that also supports WCDMA, and is compatible with EGPRS and GPRS. Bluetooth is also available on the phone. The phone also supports a micro-USB data cable for data sync.As usual, no word on the pricing or availability of this phone, but thanks to the FCC seal, it should be on its way soon.

Ce qui m'intéresse, c'est l'annonce d'un futur N78, successeur du N73, qui aurait des spécifications inférieures au N82 ! :angel:

Peut-être une version dépourvue de GPS mais avec tout de même l'APN 5 Mpxls, le flash au xénon (j'espère), WIFI et le futur Symbian.

Le tout pour un prix de vente de 550-600€ à sa sortie ?

Logiquement la version 9.5 de Symbian ne sera pas la avant 2008.

A la limite, ce qui peut etre nouveau lié l'OS, c'est le passage du FP1 au FP2 pour certains mobiles.
Et honnetement, j'ai le sentiment que le N82 en sera pourvu (d'une pierre 2 coups lol).

Mais on verra bien, encore 15 jours a attendre :mrgreen:

Si le N95 8gb a vraiment un ecran VGA il va vraiment lui falloir une nouvelle batterie, j'ose meme pas imaginer l'autonomie sans ça

et tant qu'a faire ils pourraientt mettre cette nouvelle batterie sur les "ancien " N95.
J'ai hate de connaitre les spec du N82, son design m'a vraiment accroché, et je suis aussi intrigué par le N78... vrai successeur du N73 mais moins bon que le N82 ? je me demande vraiment quels seront les changement.

Vu le fichier .xml, la résolution ne sera pas VGA mais QVGA :wink:
